ISLAMABAD: A standing committee of Pakistan’s upper house on Monday has decided to bring resolution for lifting ban on social website YouTube in the country.
The Senate’s Standing Committee for Human Rights held meeting in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan under chair of Senator Afrasiyab Khattak.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, one of the committee members belonging to Pakistan Muslim League Qauid-e-Azam (PML-Q), said that the act of ban on YouTube is an open violation of the human rights of the citizens which was given by the constitution of the country.

After thorough consideration of the matter, the committee decided to bring resolution for the resuming YouTube in Pakistan.

It is pertinent to inform that YouTube has been banned on 17 September 2012 due to blasphemous content.
