Irfan Siddiqui Demands TTP To Distance From Terrorist Elements

ISLAMABAD: Recent terrorist attacks are very dangerous for peace, according to Irfan Siddiqui the coordinator of the government appointed negotiating team.

Speaking to the media following a breakfast meeting with the prime minister, Siddiqui added that the Taliban need to distance themselves from the groups launching attacks.

The coordinator told journalists following the initial phase of contacts between the Taliban and the government the two sides will hold direct talks to curb terrorism.

According to Irfan Siddiqui the government appointed committee proposed to the prime minister to devise a new strategy to hold direct talks.

He added, that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has agreed to facilitate members of the Taliban nominated committee to go to Waziristan for talks along with a member from the government appointed committee .
