A Woman Kidnapped and Gangraped by 11 Men in Mamukanjan

A woman was allegedly gang-raped in Mamu Kanjan on Saturday.
Police said *Sharafat and his 10 accomplices were accused of kidnapping and raping *Mehrbano, a resident of Mamu Kanjan.

*Arif, a relative of Mehrbano, told the media that Mehrbano and her cousin *Shehrbano were on their way to a bazaar when they were abducted.
“They raped Mehrbano… but didn’t harm Shehrbano,” he said.
The Mamu Kanjan SHO said police were waiting for a medico-legal examination report of the girl.

He said a police team had been constituted to arrest the suspects.
Separately, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Faisalabad on Sunday.
Batala Colony police said *Anam, a resident of Warispura, was raped at her home. *Akram Elahi, the girl’s father, told the media that his daughter was home alone on Sunday when *Habib, a resident of Hari Singhwala, broke into their house. “He took Anam to one of the rooms and raped her… He also beat her when she resisted,” he said.

He fled when some residents gathered outside the house, Elahi said.
The Batala Colony Station House Officer (SHO) said the police were waiting for the girl’s medico-legal examination report.

He said a police team had been constituted to arrest the suspect.
