Senior anchors Kashif Abbasi, Habib Akram, and Paras Jahanzeb have been taken off-air by their channels for speaking the truth. This is the result of restrictions on freedom of expression through black laws like the PECA Act, which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly opposed in Parliament. The government must refrain from such tactics and allow these anchors, along with the entire journalist community, to perform their duties freely in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan. The entire nation rejects black laws like the PECA Act and the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
