LAHORE: Disgruntled PTI leader Fauzia Kasuri on Wednesday announced her decision to leave the party.
“I am announcing with heavy heart that I am leaving Tehreek-e-Insaf,” she said while addressing a news conference here.
Kasuri, who was a founding memebr of the PTI, alleged: “A mafia has taken over the party due to which thousands of workers are disappointed.”
But she thanked Imran Khan for providing her a platform to do philanthropist and political work across the country.
Earlier, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan met Kasuri at her residence and offered her the post of adviser to PTI chairman. She advised Kasuri not to make any hasty decision about her political career.
Kasuri was dejected for not being among those who made it to the Parliament on reserved women seats. – SAMAA
