Taking serious notice of national flag carrier’s negligence for leaving the baggage of 22 passengers unattended at Kabul Airport, Secretary Aviation Friday ordered the Managing Director PIA to look into the matter and make arrangements for early handing over the baggage to the passengers safely.

The Secretary also asked the MD to regret the passengers for the negligence on part of Pakistan International Airlines and ensure safe return of the baggage.

It is pertinent to mention here that a delegation of the Senate Committee on Defence and Defence Production led by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed was also onboard the PIA flight alognwith other passengers.

The passengers said that they were told that they will be informed whenever their luggage is brought back.

No excuse on the part of PIA was made to the passengers, which create panic among the passengers.

A large number of families and passengers were onboard the flight who were scheduled to leave for Toronto, Canada through connecting flight from Islamabad Airport. Unluckily their baggage was also left over at Kabul airport, which created a lot of embarrassment
