Dr Imran Farooq was killed because of independent political ambitions: Scotland Yard

LONDON: Scotland Yard has said that Dr Imran Farooq was killed only because he wanted to make an independent political party, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued on the third death anniversary of Dr Imran Farooq, the Scotland Yard said Dr Imran had set up a facebook page for the launch of his political party. Many people had contacted him via the social networking page.

It added that he was about to launch a new independent political career before his death, this remains a key line of inquiry.
