
PESHAWAR: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has declared ineligibility of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) affiliated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) lawmaker, Yousuf Ayub, on Wednesday over holding fake degree.
Yousuf Ayub, the Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) of KPK, has been pronounced disqualified on his post by the SC as the submitted degree found fake on PK-50 constitution of Haripur-2 area near Abbottabad city in the Hazara region of the province.
Earlier, the election tribunal had announced ineligibility of the PTI’s lawmaker but Ayub submitted plea in SC to review the decision.
However, the SC has announced its final decision today which annulled its plea regarding the disqualification notice by election tribunal.
