وزیراعظم عمران خان کے کچھ دن قبل دیئے گئے بیان جس میں انہوں نے ریپ کی وجوہات میں پردہ نہ کرنے کو بھی شامل کیا تھا، پر جمائما خان نے ردعمل دیتے ہوئے ٹویٹ کیا اور کہا کہ مجھے امید ہے یہ بیان عمران خان سے غلط منسوب ہوا ہے کیونکہ میں جس عمران خان کو جانتی ہوں وہ تو کہتا تھا کہ پردہ عورت کے جسم پر نہیں بلکہ مرد کی آنکھوں پر ڈالو۔ جمائما خان نے ٹویٹ میں قرآن کی آیت بھی کوٹ کی جس کا ترجمہ یہ ہے کہ اے ایمان والوں اپنی نظروں اور شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کرو۔
